日本江户时代公共浴堂的社会功能

人类的沐浴文化其产生、发展受到自然条件、风俗习惯、宗教、政治等方面的影响,具有鲜明的地域性、时代性等特征。作为城市服务设施之一的公共浴堂在江户时代应运而生,使沐浴文化的普及和繁荣成为可能。沐浴文化是江户时代平民文化的一朵奇葩,现代日本沐浴文化的许多特征也都可以追根溯源到江户时代。本文主要从江户时代公共浴堂社会功能的角度阐述公共浴堂在当时日本人生活中的重要地位及其独特的时代特征。

The emergence and development of man＇s bathing culture has always been influenced by natural conditions, customs, religions and politics and it bears distinctive regional and era characteristics. As one of the city＇s service facilities, the public bathroom helped to bring about the popularization and prosperity of the bathing culture across the country. Many features of Japanese bathing culture can be traced back to the EDO Era. This paper is intended to elaborate on the importance and the uniqueness of the public bathroom in terms of its social functions in the EDO Era.
