论译者的“阐释者”身份——以清末小说翻译家为例

清末小说译者为中国社会及文学的现代化作出了不朽的贡献,这一点已经越来越得到文学界和翻译界的共识。然而,在传统翻译理论的价值体系中,这些译者及其译作素来受到贬抑。这种实绩与评价之间的巨大差异使得研究者有必要调整研究的视角。本文对译者的阐释功能及清末小说译者的自身特点进行了分析,提出清末小说译者的重要性在于他们“阐释者”的身份定位,并认为这对于当代译者也同样具有启示。

Fiction translators at the turn of the 20th century made great co modernization of Chinese society and literature. However, in the value system translation studies, these translators as well as their translations have been long d gap between their achievements and evaluation makes it necessary for the research ntributions to the of the traditional isparaged.
