An international bimonthly journal, founded in 2001 as a continuation of Acta Astrophysica Sinica (founded in 1981, ISSN 0253-2379). The Chinese Journal of Astronomy and Astrophysics (ISSN 1009-9271) is published for the Chinese Astronomical Society and the National Astronomical Observatories of Chinese Academy of Sciences by the Science Press in Beijing.
