摘要
In the beginning time,Jiao Zi was used as draft ofr check but not currency in North Song Dynasty,then it could be exchanged in private although not permitted by the government,so it was not the legal currency but had some functions of currency from economic meaning,in the third period,Jiao Zi was issued by the sixteen rich merchants,and got the permission of government,it could be used as exchangeable paper money,but not issued by the government forcibly,in the forth period ,officially issued Jiao Zi succeeded the basic property of private Jiao Zi,also used as exchangeable money,became the legal currency issued by government.
