两个梯度折射率分布平面光波导之间的连接损耗

摘要 计算了两个不同的梯度型平面光波导在横向位移与角度偏差同时存在时的连接损耗.功率传输系数展开成Hermite-Gaussian函数的级数后,迭合积分可解析求出,文中方法的精度比基模场的高斯近似方法高得多.并给出了数值计算实例并对连接损耗受各别偏差及波导参数的影响进行了讨论。最后检验了单一偏差连接损耗相加近似复合偏差连接损耗这一直观方法的准确程度. An efficient method has proposed for evaluating the splice loss betweentwo nonidentical arbitrarily graded-index singlemode planar optical waveguides.The power transmission coefficients are expressed as the sum of Hermite-Ganssianfunctions, and then the overlap integrals can be calculated analytieally. fume-ncal examples have been given and the influence of wavegnide parameters and aamindividual misalignment on splice loss is discussed. We have checked the accuracyof approximating the load due to both defects by adding the loades due U eachindividual defect.
