美国族裔群体在涉及其祖籍国利益的外交政策上一直都试图发挥各自的影响,并使美国的外交政策不断呈现出多元文化的特色。而族裔群体内部所拥有的各种族裔政治资源则决定着这种影响力的大小,其中人口规模与人口分布、社会融入与经济地位、组织能力与政策目标是其中最为关键的因素。在美国政治与国际环境等外部条件相同的形势下,这些因素是区别各族裔群体在美国外交决策过程中具有多大影响力的重要指标。
