Natural structure and function of cellular ion channels are playing critical roles in a multitude of physiological processes. The genetic mutation and functional handicap of cyclic nucleotide-gated ion channels （CNGs） are involved in the occurrence and development of many diseases. This paper summarized the type and function and method of research and the relation with disease of cyclic nucleotide-gated ion channels.
