The Great Power and International Law

大国关系是国际关系中最为重要和突出的一种关系,而国际法是国家之间的法律,是调整国际关系的制度、法规及习惯的法律。二者在国际社会中具有重要的影响和作用,然而从国际关系和国际法的发展史来看,大国关系都在一定意义和程度上影响或制约了国际法的产生、发展和实践。

The great power relations are one of the most important relations in the world community. International law is a series of rules, codes or customs that are used to regulate relations among nations. These two concepts play a very important role in the world society. In the perspective of evolution, great power relations, however, affect or restrict the beginning, development and practice of international law to some degree.
