It introduces the essence and characteristics of artistic conception in Chinese traditional aesthetics, illustrates the function of artistic conception aesthetic theory in the development, of Chinese classical aesthetics, discusses the influence of Chuang Tsu and Mencius doctrine on artistic conceptive beauty in Chinese traditional building, lists its embodiment in garden building, and shows that the soul of Chinese traditional building is artistic conceptive beauty.
