The diagnosis and management of a 14-year-old girl with isolated traumatic t ransection of the prepylorus after amotor vehicle accident are presented.Abdomi nal computed tomography was useful in the diagnosis of pneumoperitoneum associat ed with hollow viscous injury.Rapid diagnosis and surgical repair of this unusu al injury resulted in an uncomplicated recovery.
