Ideological and Belief Education must Keep Pace With the Times

加强对大学生理想信念教育是时代的要求,是党和人民交给高校教育工作者的光荣任务。面对复杂的国际国内形势和当代大学生理想信念中存在的各种问题、理想信念教育,要与时俱进。要明确理想信念教育的内涵和目标,要改进理想信念教育的方式和方法,要提高教育者自身的综合素质、增强理想信念教育的针对性,时效性和可见性。

To cement the ideological and belief education （IBE） to college students is the need of the times, and an important duty which the CPC and the people entrust to educators in universities and colleges. Faced with complicated situation at home and abroad, and various problems existing in present-day students＇ ideology and beliefs, we, in doing this work, must keep pace with the times, be clear about the connotation and target of IBE, improve the modes and ways of IBE and the comprehensive quality of educators so as to enhance the differentiation, effectiveness and reliability of IBE.
