Germany is in the heart of Europe, so its situation in Europe is very important. Germany is playing as an ＂engine＂ on European Union whose strength is increasing, and whose influence is stronger and stronger. The United States is the only superpower in the world, and it has a great say on the international affairs. During the Cold War, the Federal Republic of Germany is a close friend of the USA, so the Federal Republic of Germany followed the USA in all kinds of affairs. But since the end of ＂cold war＂, the conflicts of both sides are always taking place, and becoming more and more serious. The conflicts that happened between them have profound causes historically and realistically.
