我们承认文学艺术作品往往就是意象艺术,但并非所有的意象艺术都用形象直接表达哲理的。表意之象并不只是“观念意象”,而是蕴涵一定的“审美意味”。“审美意象”用它专指一种特殊的表意性艺术形象或文学形象,其特殊之处在于它的本质,在于它的蕴意性,即审美活动过程中审美对象所凝结的审美意味。

We acknowledge that the works of the literature and art are often the images of art, but not all of the images of art directly express philosophy with images. The ones which express the meaning are not only ＂ the idea images ＂ , but they contain certain ＂ aesthetic significance ＂. ＂ Aesthetic significance ＂ means a kind of artistic image or literature image with the specially expressing meaning. Its special character lies in its essence or in its significance, which is that the aesthetic target contains the aesthetic significance in the course of the aesthetic activity.
