在《大学英语.精读》(教师用书)提供的英汉参考译文中,不少语句读起来非常生硬,尤其是难度较大的课文译文,而且存在很多误译。文章将以第3册阅读文章Know ledge as Fuel的译文为例,说明很多误译源于对原文的误解。

Fluency is lacking in some Chinese translations of College English · Intensive Reading （Teacher＇s Book ）, especially in those of the texts with a higher level of difficulty. Whatg more, errors abound in them. The author attempts to illustrate that it is misunderstanding that results in mistranslation by discussing the translation of some sentences taken from the passage entitled Knowledge as Fuel in Book Ⅲ.
