摘要 “教育是什么?”这个与人类文明一样古老的问题。随着社会的不断发展,每位研究者生活的社会背景不同,选择认识教育概念的出发点不同,也就出现了许多不同的答案。但概括起来可分为社会和个体两种角度,并区分为规定性定义、描述性定义和纲领性定义三种界定方式。每一次新的回答都是对教育的又一次新的理解,不断丰富着教育的内涵。纵观教育在历史长河中的发展演变,始终有一点是共通的,即教育是一种培养人、影响人身心发展的社会活动。 What is education? It is a question as old as the civilization of human being. Following the development of society, every researcher possesses different background and starting point of recognition about the education. There are also many different answer to this question. Summarizing briefly, however, it can be divided into two perspectives: society and individual. Moreover, it can also be distinguished by prescriptive, descriptive and programmatic definition. Every new try of answering this question is also a new understanding and enrich the connotation of education. To sum up the development of education, there is a consistent point: education is an activity used for cultivating the individual and affecting person's body and mind.
