尽管《诗经》并非专门的审美理论文本,它所包含的审美观念却大有可观。它们数量众多,涉及到广泛的审美领域:既有一般性观念,也有特殊性观念;有男女,有物我,有内外;有兼言,有专称,似足以形成一小小的审美评判系统,足可显示先秦中华早期审美意识之发展水平。

Although Book of Odes in not an artistic theoretical book,it contains plenty of artistic ideas conceming wide artistic range. Generalized views as well as particular views, the men and the women, the object or the subject, the inner and the outer are all involved, forming a small aesthetic system, which reflects the developing level of aesthetic consciousness in Pre-Qin Dynasty.
