Most of the high-speed analog-to-digital converters cannot be connected directly with a digital signal processor（DSP）. An appropriate solution for this problem is using FIFO as the input buffer. Interfacing high-speed external FIFO to TMS320C6000 digital signal processor （DSP） is possible via the C6000＇s external memory interface （EMIF）, and the DSP can read data from the FIFO in a burst mode. This paper introduces how to realize interface of analog-to-digital converter and TMS320C6201 DSP with SN74ALVC7806 FIFO.
