现代英语是从古英语发展而来的,仍然保持着综合语的特征,即运用形态变化来表达语法关系,而形态变化主要靠前缀和后缀来完成。同时,词汇的扩充又是英语综合水平提高的第一步,为解决词汇学习的难题,词缀规律的研究在英语词汇学习中占有举足轻重的地位,可以说是“扩大词汇的金钥匙”,文章通过对英语词缀规律的概括和总结给英语学习者一些启示。

Modem English derives from ancient English, so it remains the characters of synthetical language --this kind of language expresses the grammatical rules through shape changes and the shape changes are often completed by prefixes and the suffixes of words. As we all know, expanding the vocabulary is the first step for improving one＇s English ability, so in order to solve the problem on studying English vocabulary, summarizing the affix rules plays a vital role,even a golden key. In this paper, I hope to give some inspiration to all of the English learners through summarizing the affix rules.
