摘要
批评性语篇分析主要分析大众语篇,以揭示隐藏在语言背后的意识形态意义。语篇的及物性、转换、情态、谈话描述等的选择体现作者的立场、观点、交际意图和社会语境的影响和制约。从《时代周刊》上选取一篇新闻报道并进行分析,可以看出这篇新闻无论是对事件的描述,还是对美阿双方形象的塑造,都存在明显的倾向性,因此,新闻读者应批判地从媒体中获取信息。
CDA mainly deals with the public texts to disclose the concealed ideology behind the language. It is argued that the choice of transitivity, transformation, modality and descriptions of talk is a reflection of the authors＇ stand, viewpoint, communicational intent as well as the social context in which the text is produced. The analysis of a news report from the New York Times reveals that the report is biased, either in event description or in image construction of America and Afghanistan. Therefore,news discourse requires critical reading.
