摘要
As CIMS is applied widely in Japanese shipbuilding industry, the efficiency is improved and labor time is reduced. In this paper, we firstly introduce the development course of ship- building CIMS which developed from the integration of CAD/CAM,Product Model(PM) to Advanced CIM(ACIM) between 1985 and 2000. Secondly, the characteristics of CIMS system are analyzed as well as names and functions of different CIMS systems developed by different corporations. Finally, we show the tendency of CIMS in Japanese Shipyards.
