On the Historic Destiny of Marxism Historiography in China

20世纪80年代中期以来,马克思主义在全球范围内遇到了严峻的挑战,中国马克思主义史学的历史命运,已逐渐成为学术界关注的焦点。针对史学界出现的淡化马克思主义理论指导的偏向,刘大年、龚书铎等著名史学家,进一步阐述了马克思主义理论的价值以及史学与政治之间的关系等重大问题。正确认识中国马克思主义史学的历史命运,对于继续坚持马克思主义理论的指导,推动中国历史学的健康发展,具有极其重要的意义。

Since mid- 1980s, Marxism has confronted with a world- wide severe challenge. The historic destiny of China＇s Marxism historiography has gradually become the focus of the academia. Towards the bias of weakening the leadership of Marxism theory in the academia, some famous historians, such as Liu Danian and Gong Shuduo, illustrate such important issues as the values of Marxism theory and the relationship between historiography and politics. It is of great significance to properly understand the historic destiny of Marxism historiography in order to adhere to the guidance of Marxism theory and to propel healthy development of Chinese historiography.
