摘要
中西方在历史背景、经济体系、意识形态、社会风俗等方面存在巨大差异,从而引起了在翻译中国传统文化特色词语时,出现文化空缺的现象。这就要求译者不仅要精通原语和译语,而且应通晓这两种语言所反应的文化,从而找到恰当的翻译对策。
The differences between China and the West in history, ideology, economic system, social customs and etc. bring forth ＂cultural vacancy＂, that is to say, some words and expressions conveying the features of Chinese traditional culture have no equivalents in English. Attempts should be made to find some proper methods of translation which are flexible and feasible to solve the issues.
