托雷多大学是美国中西部地区一所典型美国校园风格的学校，其校园内建筑风格以学院派哥特式建筑为主，建筑造型以石材贴面为主，占满一开间的大型竖窗以及起坡较陡的剖屋顶是这种建筑风格的典型特征，目前现有的建筑群落在校园尽管从体量造型和细节上略有不同，但整体风格统一，整体个性也比较一致，再加上校园内分布的大小不一的庭院相互呼应，将校园整体连接在一起，更强调了校园统一的风格。
University with a traditional American campus, a ＂Collegiate gothic＂architecture （demarcated by stone buildings, bay windows and steeply pitched roofs）. The existing campus was a family of buildings, looking different but with common characteristics. Outdoor spaces unify the whole, with a series of courtyards echoing the large, open quad on the main campus.
