现代艺术的一个重要特征,即作品中所含有的差异性生存经验的表述。艺术一直持有一种功能,即它是一种“记录”。艺术家经历了自己具体的、不同于他人的生命历程,通过作品记录下个人的“生存经验”,其中含有个体对生命的“体验”和“认知”,同时,也含有大量的他所处的时代的历史情景、社会背景和文化环境等种种信息。一个艺术家同另一个艺术家的区别,不仅在于“审美”上的差异,更在于作品中体现出来的“生存经验”、知识修养和文化信息的不同。“现代性生存经验的表述”是今天艺术的首要特征,“反思”是这个时代的艺术的重要特征。在今天,艺术首先是一种思维方式,是一种锐利和具有洞穿力量的思想,我们面对的是一个从未有过的情景。对思想的质疑、对艺术持“否定性”的思维和态度使艺术完成了对自身前所未有的开拓,艺术由“被欣赏”转向了“被思考”。随着传统社会逐渐被现代社会所取代,传统社会中人与人的关系也发生了某种改变。“冷漠”,作为现代社会中的一种新的生存经验,在当代艺术作品中也有所表现。“冷漠”不仅指具体的感情,更是具有生存上的意义,是现代人在今天的历史环境中的一种真实的处境。

One of the fundamental characters of modem art is to describe different living experiences.Art embraces the function of recording. Artists interpret their personal experience and understanding to the life through their works. Differences among them lie in different living experiences, knowledge and cultural backgrounds, as well as aesthetic perception. The description of modernistic living experiences is the principal character of modem art, and reflection is an important character. The traditional human relations in society undergo some changes in modem society. As new living experience in modem society,indifference is expressed in artistic works. It is not only a concrete feeling, but also a real situation people face in modem circumstances.
