An exhibition of Chinese Special Classics Collection and Protection Achievements opened at the Exhibition Hall of the National Library in May 26. This isthe largest of its kind in China. More than 200 exhibits on show are all rare objects above the second class, with objects of the first class reaching 60%.They include all the four special collections - Books on Dunhuan, Tripitaka of Zhaocheng Edition, the Yongle Canon and the Si Ku Quan Shu, treasures of theNational Library. Also on display are th“esecret collections”of 61 pieces of rarities, such as Sima Guang’s incomplete manuscripts of volume One of Zi ZiTong Jian,the only copy of the Song Dynasty edition of the rubbing of Shen Ce Jun Bei, Si Fang Feng of the tortoise shell inscriptions and the Map of Fujianof the period of Kang Xi of the Qing Dynasty.
