The article introduces the painting“seeking Inspiration of Poetry in the Moon”by Fei Danxu and collected by the Huzhou City Museum in Zhejiang Province.The picture is a portrait of Huzhou Gentleman Xu Xieren painted in 1840 by woman painter Fei Danxu toward the end of the Qing Dynasty. The article analyzesthe portrait and the postscripts written by a number of noted personalities.
