摘要
应用光子晶体光纤(PCF)的本地正交基函数模型,对PCF的模式特征进行了详尽的数值研究,包括模式特性、传输常量、模场分布、模场面积、功率限制特性等。结果表明:通过调节PCF的结构参量,可以设计大有效面积PCF,用于高功率传输和制作光纤激光器;利用PCF的芯层与包层较高的折射率差,将光功率更大限度地限制在芯层以利于研究非线性效应等。
The mode characteristics of the photonic crystal fiber (PCF) are investigated in detail using the orthogonal functions,including the propagation constant, mode-field distribution, effective power confinement factor. The result shows that the big effective area of PCF used in transmitting the high power and manufacturing fiber-optic laser can be designed by changing the PCF structure parameter. The larger difference of refractive index between the fiber core and cladding layer is used to make the light power limited effectively in the fiber core to be beneficial to research the nonlinear effect.
