摘要
近20年来,当代类型学在国际语言学界已经得到了迅猛发展,主要表现在类型学涉及的研究范围更为细致深广,更加注重对语言的动因和机制的综合考察,研究方法和手段也日益灵活精密。另外,当代类型学还极大地推动了功能主义语言学的发展,并与形式主义语言学以及优选论等不断交织。最后,类型学在汉语学界也有广阔的发展前景。
The present paper provides a survey of contemporary research on typology in the study of linguistics over the past 20 years. Three main trends are visible: (a) the research target and scope become wider, (b) focus is on comprehensive explanations for the motivation and mechanism of the language phenomena under study, and (c) more flexible and elaborate research methods are developed. Besides, typological studies are often integrated with functional and even formalistic approaches. Finally, typology has the potential to be applied in the study of Chinese linguistics.
