在对中西礼貌语言的比较分析中,阐明了中西方言语行为中礼貌原则在本质上的相通之处,以及二者在各自语言文化中的不同侧重点。提出了其对跨文化交际的启示,以期跨文化交际中英、汉语言使用者遵守彼此的礼貌原则达到相互沟通,从而获得交际的最佳效果。

This article makes a contrast between two kinds of principles of politeness in the Chinese and western cul- tures, illustrating that they are similar to each other but lay particular emphasis in their own language and culture. It aims to help people for a better understanding and an effective application of the principle of politeness, thus promote efficiency in their transcultural communication.
