构建和谐社会是我国经济社会长足发展的必由之路,而稳固的国防是构建和谐社会的环境保障。国防建设与和谐社会要相互协调共同发展就必须处理好:国防建设与经济建设的关系;建设和谐军营与构建和谐社会的关系;军队战斗精神培育与提高全民国防意识的关系;抓好军队信息化建设与发挥信息化人民战争作用的关系;创新发展军事高新技术与创新发展国家高新技术的关系。深化国防教育,为构建和谐社会提供保障是我们所要必须高度重视的一个问题。

Constructing a harmonious society is essential to the sustainable development of the economic and social development in China, and meanwhile, a stable national defense is a guarantee for constructing a harmonious society. Such relationships concerning the national defense construction and the harmonious society construction ought to be well considered： national defense and economic construction; building a harmonious army and a harmonious society; cultivating the army＇s combat spirit and promoting the widespread sense of national defense; the construction of the army＇s communication system and bringing into play the well-informed people＇s war; and developing innovatively the military high technology and the national high technology. Deepening the national defense education and safeguarding the construction of a harmonious society is what great importance should be attached to.
