高校外国留学生教育亟待强化

Foreign Students' Education Is in Urgent Need of Strengthening

开展留学生教育是教育服务于政治、外交和经济的重要内容,是发挥我国大国影响、传播中华文化、促进国际交往的重要途径,也是国家和地方吸引培养国际人才的重要渠道,更是高等院校自身发展和建设的迫切需要。西方发达国家已经从发展外国留学生教育中获得了巨大的经济和政治效益。我国高校必须强化对外宣传,提升国际知名度;强化教学质量,树立品牌吸引生源;强化规范管理,提高留学生待遇。不断扩大我国在国际教育市场的份额,抢占国际人才竞争的制高点。

The education of foreign students is an important educational content in service to politics, diplomacy and economy. It＇s an important way to gain a world wide fame, to spread the Chinese culture and to promote the international exchange. It＇s also an important channel to attract and cultivate international talents, of which the universities＇ self-development and construction are in urgent need. Western developed countries have gained great economic and political benefits from the development of the education of foreign students. Our universities must strengthen the propaganda and gain the international fame, improve the educational quality, set up the brand and attract the students, strengthen the regulation and improve students＇ living conditions. We should expand our market share in international education and seize the high point of international talent competition.
