On Du Fu's Spiritual Association with Chan Buddhism and the Artistic Concepts of Chan Meditation in His Poems

杜甫以传统儒家典型的兼济思想与入世精神著称,但佛家空门的禅思玄理,对其心态与创作仍具有不容忽视的影响。从诗人童年的经历中探寻其佛缘禅路;在飘游、登临以及寓居生涯中,无不透露出超乎尘想、静谧玄远的禅意禅趣。

Du Fu is famous for adhering on Confucian worldly philosophy which emphasizing individuals participating social affaires. However, the Buddhist theory and meditation also has an influence on his mind and writes, which can not be neglected. This paper traces Du Fu＇s relation with Buddhism from his childhood experience to his later live, and explores the Chan Buddhist meditation demonstrated in many topics and many aspects in his poems.
