Research on How to Enhance China's Geopolitical Relationship with Central Asian Counties

从地缘来看,积极发展我国同中亚地区的睦邻友好关系,对于巩固我国西部边境地区的安定和民族的团结,实现经济互补,促进我国与中亚各国经济的共同发展,具有重要的战略意义。但是,冷战后由于中亚的战略地位及里海地区大规模油气资源的发现,西方国家开始向该地区渗透,使我国近年来在中亚地区的影响受到挑战。面对这种形势,我国应通过加强与中亚各国的经贸合作,巩固和提升我国同中亚国家的友好关系,加强与俄罗斯的战略协作,与美国既竞争又合作,扩大我国对该地区的影响。

It is of a great strategic significance, from the perspective of geopolitics, for us to develop the neighborhood relationship with the Central Asian countries and regions so as to strengthen the security of western area of our country, consolidate the unity with minorities, achieve mutual economic complement and promote common development. After the Cold War, due to the strategic position of the Central Asia in the international political stage and the finding of the substantial oil and gas resources, the western countries began to penetrate into and have influence on the region, and confronted our nation a great challenge in the area. Facing such circumstances, we should consolidate friendly relationship with Central Asian countries by enhancing the two sides＇foreign trade cooperation, strengthen cooperation with Russia on strategic level and compete while cooperate with America to enhance our influence and osmosis in this area.
