试论“桑”的文化性别

Cultural Gender of "Mulberry"

通过对以《诗经》为代表的文学作品中关于“桑”意象的探析,认为“桑树”意象多与女性相关。桑之所以呈现出女性化人文意象,不仅仅缘于人类农桑文化背景下的生产与生活的历史方式,也是其所具有的深厚文化内涵的外现,同时还以其与男女性爱相联系而使桑园成为古代的“伊甸园”。

By analyzing the images of mulberry in literary works represented by The Book of Songs, the author draws the conclusion that the image of mulberry is related to women. That is because of the people＇s style of life and production in the farming and sericuhure, and the deeply - rooted cultural connotation the mulberry has. In ancient Chinese cuhure, mulben＇y not only has the imagery characteristic of feminization, but even the mulberry field becomes the ancient Paradise due to the connection mulberry has with sexual love between men and women.
