论汉末魏晋楷书发展孕育的物质基础

Social Material Foundation for the Development of Kaishu in Late Han Dynasty and Wei-Jin Period

汉末魏晋是中国文字、书法发展的重要转折期,这一时期所出现的楷书对中国文字的定形和传统文化的传播具有深远的影响。楷书的形成,很大程度上得益于当时科学技术的发展。造纸术、高型家具的推广应用,为楷书的发展提供了必要的物质技术支持。汉末章草的成熟在隶书向楷书的演变中起到了重要的过渡作用,是楷书发展中的一个桥梁。

Late Han Dynasty and Wei-Jin Period is a major turning point for Chinese character and calligraphy development. Kaishu emerging in this period has great impact on Chinese character figuration and prevalence of traditional Chinese culture. The development of science and technology is benefital to the formation of Kaishu to a great extent. For instance, the popularization of paper making technology and high-model furniture provides the material technology for the formation of Kaishu. Zhangcao, a type of the cursive script used in Zouzhang （memorials） in late Han Dynasty, which is regarded as a ferry or bridge in the developing process of Kaishu, has played an important role in the evolution from Lishu （the official script） to Kaishu.
