Colleges and Universities as Important Position Fulfilling the Three Represents Theory

高等学校的三大主要职能———人才培养、科学研究、社会服务———决定了高校是实践“三个代表”思想的重要阵地。高校应以“三个代表”思想为指导,深化教育改革,提高教育质量,努力把学生培养成未来先进生产力的开拓者,先进文化弘扬者,广大人民利益的创造者和维护者。

Personnel training, scientific research and community service are three major functions of colleges and universities. Because of it, these schools have become the important ideological position fulfilling ＂the Three Represents Theory＂. Guided by the theory, the schools should develop the reform on education further, and should improve the educational quality and should put an effort to train the students to be the pioneer of the advanced productive forces, the promoter of the advanced culture and the creator and preserver of the interests of the overwhelming majority of the people.
