In the international cross - cultural exchange, athletic Whshu has been developed into a sport which combines Chinese traditional Whshu with the spirit of western sport. This paper employs documental data method to discuss the developing course of athletic Wushu. And thus, it makes an attempt to explain the clash, union and developing between western and oriental cultues.
