殷契卜辞“易”字之义源及其流变考释

对于历来存有争议的“易”字,汉代许慎在其《说文解字》中的观点以及今人杨树达、郭沫若等人的观点虽具有一定合理的成分,但仍不够尽人心意。最具有说服力的当属徐中舒的观点,他认为“易”字的初义应指“赐酒”、“赐予”。由“易”字初义徐又进一步引出“更换”、“变化”、“蜥蜴”等近三十个引申义来。就“易”字的“义变”而言,今天看来其是呈“先少后多再少”的动势发展着的。

He think this character＇ s original meaning is＂ Bestow wine＂, then further educe ＂Vouchsafe＂ ,＂ Replace＂ ,＂ Change＂ . It is developing as＂ from little to many then to little ＂.
