刘少奇《论共产党员的修养》是中国共产党首部从党员个人角度论述党的建设的论著。少奇同志在“修养”中系统阐明了党员道德修养的必要性和内容、方法,发展了马克思主义伦理思想,完善了中共党建学说。在建设中国特色社会主义的今天,“修养”对于提高党员素质,加强党的建设有着重要的理论、实践意义。

Liu Shaoqi＇ s On Communists＇ Self--cultivation was the first work by the Communist Party of China to deal with party building from the perspective of individuals. In it Liu systematically expounded the necessity, content, methods of self --cultivation by communists. It developed Marxist ethics and perfected the Chinese Communist Party＇ s theory of party building. Today, in a time of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, the work is of great theoretical and practical significance in improving the quality of party members and strengthening party building.
