Issue on the Source of the Concept of "New Poetry"

“新诗”概念是研究早期新诗的一个关节点。这个概念的发生、确立,构成早期新诗寻求合法性的一个重要方面。“新诗”概念的来源显得相当复杂,既有纵向的来自晚清“诗界革命”的某种继承,也受到美国新诗运动等外来影响。作为“新诗”发明者的胡适,是这个概念的大力推行者。

The concept of ＂new poetry＂ is a key issue in the study of the early new poetry. The rise and establishment of this concept constitutes an important subject in the pursuit of the new poetry legality. The source of the concept of ＂new poetry ＂ is very complex and includes both the internal heritage from the ＂revolution in poetry＂ in the late Qing Dynasty and the external influence of the new poetry movement in the United States. Hu Shi was the inventor of this kind of poetry and promoted this concept vigorously.
