思想政治工作是转变人的思想认识、强化人的精神动力、塑造人的美好心灵、提升人的思想境界的重要工作。在全面建设小康社会、推进社会主义现代化建设的过程中,思想政治工作发挥着导向、保证、凝聚、激励、开发、协调、服务、塑造、制约、转化、动力、斗争等多方面的社会功能。

Ideological and poloitical work is an important work, which mutates one＇s ideological cognition, shapes one＇s noble soul and accelerates one＇s ideological realm. During the course of building a well-off society in an all around way and speeding the socialism modernization, ideological and political work ecerts a lot of social functions such as guidance, asssurance, cohesion, encouragement, exploitation, eooordination, serving, shaping, restriction, mutation, inspiration, struggle and so on.
