At the DSB meeting on 15 July, 2005, Brazil＇ s request for authorization to impose cross- retaliation against the US in the WTO cotton case was challenged by the US and, hence, referred to arbitratlon.The paper explores the details of Brazil＇ s cross - retaliation request in the cotton dispute and the request by US for arbitration. The following section offers a brief conclusion about cross - retaliation in trade dispute settlement.
