对两部数学词典的翻译及专科词典编纂的几点看法

Some Opinions and Suggestions on the Translation of Two Mathematics Dictionary and on the Compilation of Specialized Dictionaries

近年编纂出版的两部藏汉英对照数学词典,它们各擅胜场,是在前无古人的情况下编成的,无论理论与实践可资借鉴的几乎没有,因此,需要进一步商榷的地方也就在所难免,值得思考的地方也就较多。但它们在开创现代自然科学的翻译词典方面的作用应是功不可没。

Recent compiled two Tibetan Chinese English mathematics dictionaries have been compiled without any previous theoretical and practical reference. They have their advantages as well as disadvantages. Therefore it is inevitable for them to be further discussed and modified. But their contribution to the natural science translation dictionaries should not be neglected.
