Overnight, foreigners living in Beijing woke up to discover it had become much harder for them to purchase a home in the ancient capital, courtesy of a new order from the central government, For some, they have not spent enough time working in China, while others will be limited to the purchase of a single apartment. All these indicate the coming of a new round of macro-regulation on real estate market, this time specifically targeting overseas buyers.
