Studies on Three Ancient and Modern Novels

本文考论古近代小说三部(篇):宋代佚名小说《梅妃传》极大地丰富了李(隆基)杨(玉环)故事的内涵,对后人同题材的创作产生了重大影响;晚清俞达的狭邪小说《青楼梦》是模仿《红楼梦》创作中有代表性的一部,反映了封建末世下层知识分子颓废的精神状态;资产阶级民主革命的热诚鼓吹者陈天华的《狮子吼》则是二十世纪初年影响最大的政治小说。

This thesis is to study three ancient and modem novels：＂A Biography of Mei Fei,＂which writer＇s name was lost, greatly enriched the story＇s connotation of Li Long Ji （Emperor of the Song Dynasty）and his wife Yang Yu Huan and had a great influence on later works of the same themes; Yu Da＇s wicked novel-＂Dream of the Brothel＂ in the late Qing Dynasty was one that is representative of those to copy ＂Dream of Red Mansions＂ and it reflects the decadent mental state of lowerclass intellectuals in Late Qing Dynasty and ＂The Roar of a Lion＂ written by the ardent advocate of bourgeois-democratic revolution was one of the most influential political novels at the beginning of the twentieth century .
