On literary translation in the postcolonial context

后殖民翻译研究关注强势文化与弱势文化之间的权力关系,这种权力关系的差异会对翻译过程造成影响。文章试探讨后殖民语境下文学翻译中对文本以及具体翻译策略的选择,提出全球化语境下要避免出现极端民族主义的倾向,真正实现文化之间的平等交流。

Postcolonial approaches to literary translation examine the power relations between the powerful cultures and less powerful cultures which have influence on the process of translation. This paper attempts to discuss literary translation in the postcolonial context, focusing on the choice of literary texts to translate and the adoption of different translation strategies. It points out that ultra-nationalism should be avoided in the global context so as to realize the real equal communication among cultures.
