公安院校是培养合格公安人才的源头。公安院校大学英语教学要合理定位,突出教学内容与人才培养的实用性和针对性,使学员具备一定的可持续发展的能力,就要开展“双语教学”建设,构建公安专业英语知识体系,突出公安院校办学特色。公安院校大学英语教学要与公安实践相结合,为公安实践服务,向实用化发展,满足新时期国家和社会对公安人才综合素质的需要。

In order to make the students in police universities possess the continued competence, the aim of college english teaching in police universities should be oriented properly. It must focus on the application and target of teaching content and fostering qualified policemen . The bilingual languages teaching should be developed and also English teaching standard in police universities and the system of English knowledge in policing field should be formulated as well. The college English teaching in police universities must be combined with the policing practice and should serve it for the sake of practical development and meet the need of comprehensive qualities of policemen required by the country and society in current situation.
