Dramatic dialogue,which consists of character＇s speeches, is the essential part of dramatic language. When dealing with the cultural norms in dramatic dialogue translation, the translator should take into account the cultural obstacles and traditions of the target language. This paper provides the relevance-theoretic account of translating dramatic dialogue.
