在教育传播过程中,传播媒介和传播技术所起的作用至关重要。先秦时期,我国示现媒介系统的口语传播具有简练、形象的特点。殷商时期我国较为成熟的文字,使再现媒介系统传播处于世界领先的水平。在教育传播媒介及其载体和传播技术方面,汉代创造的质优价廉的“蔡侯纸”,使纸质手写书籍媒介发挥了巨大的教育传播功能。唐五代时期雕版印刷技术及宋以后活字印刷技术的发明与应用,在教育传播领域引起了一场技术性革命,推动了我国古代教育传播事业的繁荣。

This paper explores the vital roles media and technology have played in the history of ancient China＇s education diffusion. During the Pre-Qin period, the signalling media system, which was chiefly diffused by means of oral communication, bore the features of simplicity and expressiveness. With writing symbols gradually growing to maturity in the Shang Dynasty, reproducing media system took the lead in diffusion throughout the world. Thanks to the great invention of ＂Cai Hou paper＂, which was rather good in quality and cheap in price, handwritten books as the new media, carrier and technology of education diffusion began to play an important part in the Han Dynasty. Then the invention and application of two new printing methods, separately the block-carving printing during the Tang Dynasty as well as the subsequent Five Dynasties, and the movable-type printing during the Northern Song Dynasty, gave rise to a massive technical revolution in the realm of education diffusion, pushing forward to the prosperity of ancient China＇s education diffusion.
