摘要
由缩略而产生的意义称“缩略生义”。缩略古已有之,在现代汉语中更是一种普遍现象。相关工具书在释义时应考虑常见的由缩略而产生的意义。
Meanings generated from abbreviations can be called ＂abbreviation- generated meanings＂. Abbreviation, a kind of word - formation, can be traced back to the ancient times but it has become more popular in modern Chinese. While defining the abbreviations, the compilers of the reference books should take the ＂abbreviation- generated meanings＂ into account.
